Can I recover deleted files or expired transfers?

Based on your account "File Expiration Policy", all files are deleted from our server completely. Files deleted after successful or expired transfer cannot be recovered and the options related to the transfer like Forward, Resend, Cancel will be grayed out. A  reminder email is sent 24 hours prior to file expiration. If the transfer expired, please contact the sender to send the files again.

To store files permanently, please use Repository or Portal feature.

To change File Expiration Policy, please login to your account (admin rights required) and then go to Account->Account Setup -> File Expiration Policy.

That answers file transfers - but what about accidentally deletion of files?  Can they be recovered?

It is annoying that if you open a file to view only withou saving it, the system assumes it has been downloaded and you can never access it again. Sigh

Hi Linda, 

 Unfortunately, that's an (annoying) Windows (especially IE) "feature" - if you select "Open" rather than "Save", the file still downloads, but it downloads into your Temporary Internet Files with a temporary name that has nothing to do with what the actual file name is. The file HAS been downloaded from the server, and if the person who sent you the transfer only allows you one download you won't be able to get it again, but because someone chose "Open" rather than "Save", Windows just deletes it when you close it.
